We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Assistant to join our team at Direct Orthopedic Care. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring smooth front office operations for our walk-in and scheduled clinics. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating daily administrative tasks. A pleasant demeanor, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to stay calm and effective during stressful situations are essential. Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and visitors promptly with a warm and helpful attitude Manage front desk operations including answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring necessary materials (e.g., pens, forms, brochures) are stocked Provide accurate information in person, over the phone, and via email Direct visitors to the appropriate departments or personnel Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing Support various departments with administrative tasks as needed Respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently Prioritize and multitask effectively to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Professional appearance and demeanor Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or in a customer service role preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends if needed Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) with matching Life insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account (FSA) Weekend shift pay differential
