Summary
Provides administrative support to Chair, Graduate Coordinator, faculty, and graduate students in the Psychology Department to facilitate the daily operations of the Psychology graduate program.
Essential Functions
Assist in coordination of graduate student recruitment and admissions Coordinate communication with current and prospective graduate students
Serve as budget administrator with graduate contracting platform, requests graduate student contracts
Reconciles and tracks budgets. Identifies budget issues. Collects and compiles information for regular budget reports. Maintain graduate student records, updates policies and handbooks
Responds to queries from faculty, graduate students, and prospective students regarding policies and procedures
Assists in course schedule development, provides basic information regarding course prerequisites, independent study and registration
Manages event planning related to graduate program, including graduate student orientation
Greets visitors to the main office, assists students, faculty and visitors
Participates in organized department-wide events
Coordinates with other staff, attends regular staff meetings
Serves as department representative on college committees as needed. works on special department projects
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Ability to query, run reports and modify data in financial systems
Ability to access and maintain document imaging systems, including scanning and filing documents
Ability to accurately receive and disburse cash whether currency, credit cards, checks or other payment forms
Ability to operate computers and peripheral equipment such as printers
Ability to draft office correspondence
Ability to effectively utilize audio/visual equipment
