7.5 hours per day which includes a 15-minute paid break

Daily Schedule:

Monday -

Friday:

7:15 am to 3:15 pm

Unpaid Meal Break:

30 minutes

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Illinois Paraprofessional License is required

30 college hours preferred, but not required

Must be flexible and adaptable to surroundings and situations

Must be able to apply initiative when necessary

Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents

Proficient in computer software with an emphasis in Google, school databases, and spreadsheets

Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills Demonstrate a strong work ethic

Excellent communication and computer skills Responsibilities /

Duties:

Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices.

Understand McHenry High School policies and procedures for class cuts and tardies

Use the Student Information System (SIS) as required

Schedule and prepare data for weekly meetings

Maintain a variety of attendance records, schedules, and files (manual and computer) for the purpose of providing reliable information in compliance with district policies

Meet with students that have attendance and tardy issues, assign student detentions per policy

Provide office back-up

Other relevant duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed). Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting.
