Days Needed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Times Needed Flexible hours ranging from 8:30am - 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Occasionally until 7:30pm. Must work one Saturday a year, typically in mid August. This is a seasonal position with the potential for extension, depending on funding. As a Student Employee/Orientation Leader, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our students and their families. This combined position offers experience in customer service, office operations, and student engagement.Responsibilities include:
Greeting and assisting students, parents, and guests in person and over the phone Providing accurate information and excellent customer service to all visitors Answering basic questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff Supporting the preparation and delivery of orientation activities and materials Helping new students navigate tools such as Student Planner Performing general clerical and front desk duties to support Advising staff Assisting with events as needed Other duties as assignedQualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills Comfort speaking with students, parents, and staff both in person and over the phone Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a busy office environment Dependable, professional, and eager to learn This position is ideal for students who want to build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while contributing to the success of their peers. This position may require a background check. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality. During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours.
