PAYMENT:
$1,800 monthly stipend

 Students enrolled in a graduate-level program at an accredited institution

PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY
The Graduate Assistant (GA) of New Student Programs will provide direct assistance to the Associate Director of New Student programs with the development, coordination, execution and evaluation of the Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) program within the department. In addition, the GA will build relationships and collaborate with various university departments.

JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the training and supervision of the summer orientation leaders and summer undergraduate intern Development of a training program and manual for the orientation leaders Work with first-year student and transfer student SOAR programs Logistics and planning of all orientation programs Facilitate weekly one-day in-person first-year orientation programs and virtual and in-person transfer orientation programs Establish and maintain connections with other departments, while collaborating on joint efforts. Assist in the coordination of student training, program assessment, and orientation. Perform other duties as requested, delegated or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Enrolled in a graduate program at least part-time during the regular academic year Position is available to external candidates
