Administrative Assistant Third Presbyterian Church - 4.4 Rockford, IL Job Details Part-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Confidential information handling Phone reception Phone communication Filing Administrative experience Calendar management Data entry Clerical experience Productivity software Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and organized Church Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the pastor, church administrator, church staff, committees, and congregation. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient church operations and supporting church communications and recordkeeping. Responsibilities Greet visitors at the front desk with professionalism. Provide administrative support to the pastor and church administrator. Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, and other materials. Maintain calendars, files, and church records. Assist church committees and ministry teams with administrative needs. Monitor office supplies as needed. Operate and oversee the use of office equipment, including computers and copiers. Maintain church membership and attendance records using Church Windows Membership software. Assist with entering bills and financial information into the church accounting system. Maintain accurate and confidential church records. Prepare weekly bulletins, announcements, newsletters, and congregational mailings. Monitor and respond to church email communications as appropriate. Coordinate deadlines for receiving information for church publications and communications. Qualifications Proven experience in an office environment with strong clerical skills and administrative experience Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Familiarity with bookkeeping software is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Exceptional phone etiquette skills Previous experience as a receptionist or personal assistant is advantageous Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Work Environment This position serves in a church office setting and requires a friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude when interacting with church members, visitors, volunteers, and staff. Must be able to pass a background check.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
