Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Develop a strong understanding of the Lewis University financial aid application process in order to provide consistently reliable information to student inquires. Provide excellent customer service to students and their families by promptly answering phone calls and returning voicemail messages within 24 hours. Review and respond to all email inquiries to the email box. Emails should be responded to within 24 hours of receipt. Understand staff responsibilities to effectively route customer inquires to the appropriate staff member for resolution. Review and confirm documents received by the office are complete prior to being sent for scanning. Print and prepare award letters daily. Respond to background checks for former student employees. Assist with special projects related to the processing of financial aid that will require the use of third party software. Maintain / order office supply inventory. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent credentials is required. The person in this position must be proficient in data entry. Also, the person must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be detailed oriented and poses the ability to recognize problems. Preferred Qualifications Be highly proficient in typing with a high degree of accuracy. Have prior customer service experience in an office setting with experience with filing and record keeping. Possess the ability to learn quickly in order to work independently.
