The Illinois Lottery is hiring an Office Coordinator to work in the Springfield Check Writing and Claims Office. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, pay close attention to detail, and provide excellent customer service to Lottery players. If you want to spend your day making people happy, the Illinois Lottery encourages you to apply for this position.   Essential Functions Under direction, as the Secretary of the Check Writing & Claims Section, performs a wide variety of complex, specialized office support functions. Prepares, verifies, enters, and edits instant, online, and eclaims, for payment to Lottery winners. Explains and interprets rules, regulations and procedures to winners, non-winners, and the public. Organizes and maintains filing system of all claim forms and general correspondence in electronic or hardcopy form. Answers incoming telephone calls from the public, financial institutions, Lottery winners and players, officials, Lottery retailers and others regarding lottery tickets, validations, and check writing activities applying knowledge of agency operations, or directs them to other professional staff if of a complex nature.
