Summary of Position:
Performs basic clerical and general office duties including copying, mail and package distribution, typing, some computer entry, and telephoning. Assist with staff, student and parent needs. Serves as a support person for the Principal and Secretary to expedite the flow of work through the school office.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent Prior clerical experience preferred Ability to understand, apply, and use computers and software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Google and Gmail) Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others. Experience dealing with the public and staff with and the ability to be courteous and patient while maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment.
Essential Job Functions :
Mailroom Coordinator Sorts and delivers mail to mailboxes. Organize packages and alert recipients. Tracking the postage meter- who sends what, etc. Keep track of forms and supplies for teachers in the mailroom. Add all staff names to the mailboxes. Copier Room Coordinator Make copies for staff, including: worksheets, tests, booklets, forms and documents that may require collating. Keep track of all copiers in the school and order supplies for all copiers. Coordinates repairs and maintenance on building copiers. Maintain a paper supply in the mailroom and make sure copiers are always stocked with paper. Supply distribution and inventory management for the main office. Staff Room Coordinator Maintaining cleanliness of the staff break room. Inventory of coffee/tea supplies. Coordinating the information board in the staff break room. General Assist Principal and Assistant Principals' secretaries as needed. Help administrators in the main office. Assist with large projects in the main office. Edit, revise, create documents as requested via Google and/or Microsoft Office suite of products. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Ability :
Work in standard office and school building environments. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.
Work Environment:
Use standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, telephones etc.
