Job Description

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Nutrition Assistant within the Kenneth Moy Care Center. AFSCME Council 31 (Care Center) Bargaining Unit Position DuPage County is an Equal Opportunity Employer T his position is working in the DuPage County Care Center and not eligible for benefits and paid time-off. To view the bargaining unit contract and more detailed information, visit: AFSCME Council 31 - Care Center.pdf (Download PDF reader) Check resident trays for accuracy Print and prepare meal tickets and production reports on a daily basis Print labels for snacks and tube feeding bottles Organize and print menus Process new diet orders and update meal tickets for residents Answer phones and provide assistance as necessary Coordinate delivery of additional food items to residents Answer questions and take food requests from residents and family members as needed Observes safety standards and practices Performs mathematical computations, and operates or utilizes a telephone system, basic office equipment, and software programs at a basic level of proficiency. Verifies resident diet information and enters new information into required database May assist in providing training on position tasks to new employees and current employees Assists in the maintenance of records Takes telephone messages and relays information to appropriate staff Files documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods Maintains confidentiality of client information Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience: Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma 6 months experience in food service A post offer physical is required. A pre-employment background check is required.

Medium Work:
Exerting up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Use of arm and /or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for light work.
