Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires proficiency in medical office management, including handling medical records, billing, and coding, as well as utilizing electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth. Responsibilities Greet patients and manage front desk operations to ensure a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for healthcare providers. Assist with the preparation and management of care plans for patients. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Perform medical billing and coding tasks to facilitate efficient processing of patient information. Utilize computerized systems for data entry, ensuring accuracy in 10 key typing tasks. Respond to patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in a . Familiarity with medical office management practices and procedures. Knowledge of care plans, medical billing, and coding is advantageous. Proficient in using scheduling software and ability to learn new software Strong computer skills with the ability to efficiently manage computerized records. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
