Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Office at Ivy Tech Columbus. The Work-Study student will assist with essential finance-related tasks—including document management, inventory support, and work-order follow-up—to help maintain accurate records, improve workflow efficiency, and support daily departmental operations. Scan, organize, and digitally file finance‑related documents in accordance with departmental procedures. Place asset and equipment labels for inventory control and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records. Conduct follow‑up on work orders to ensure timely completion and update tracking logs as needed. Provide general clerical support, including filing, data entry, copying, and preparing documents. Assist with organizing and maintaining departmental records and workspaces. Support other finance‑related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
General Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills, such as familiarity with Microsoft. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff and students. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required qualifications:
1.Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need. 2.Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status
Pay Rate:
