Job Description

Lead Academic Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs Franklin College seeks a Lead Academic Administrative Assistant for the Office of Academic Affairs. This is a full-time, 12-month hourly position reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Responsibilities include general administrative support with heavy emphasis on faculty and academic matters. This position provides organizational and clerical support for a number of faculty programs and committees, attends all faculty business meetings and Board of Trustee meetings, and aids in planning various student events throughout the year, including Honors Convocation, Destination Graduation, and Scholars' Day. Additional duties include statistical work for surveys and working with other campus departments as needed. This position supervises the AAA team, who provide departmental level support to the faculty.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of three years work experience, preferably in higher education. Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills and the ability to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information.
