Administrative Assistant Paralyzed Veterans of America, Kentucky-Indiana Chapter Jeffersonville, IN Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Teamwork Attention to detail Calendar management Organizational skills Faxing Full Job Description Job Purpose An Administrative Assistant ensures the efficient day-to-day operations of the office, and support the work of management and other staff, for Paralyzed Veterans of America, Kentucky-Indiana Chapter (KIPVA).
Essential Responsibilities:
Answer phones, greet visitors, respond to general inquiries, and provide a professional first impression for the Chapter. Supports day-to-day office operations, including mail, supplies, files, records, and general administrative needs. Assist Chapter staff, the Office Manager, the Chapter President, and the Board of Directors with correspondence, scheduling, travel, documents, and meeting preparation. Prepare Board packets, draft meeting minutes for review, and submit required monthly reports to the National office. Help maintain the Chapter website and social media Create newsletters, flyers, mailings, reports, and other communication materials. Use tools such as Microsoft 365, Adobe, Mail Merge, Zoom, QuickBooks, Canva, and digital filing systems to support office and communication needs. Participate in Chapter events and fundraisers.
Qualifications:
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work professionally with staff, Board members, visitors, vendors, and community partners. Comfortable in earning new technology, solving basic office-system issues, and working independently. A positive, mission-driven attitude and a willingness to support KIPVA's veteran service mission.
