You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional care for our Sisters in this full-time, first shift Nursing Unit Secretary & Scheduler role. About the Employer We, the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, participate in the mission of the Roman Catholic Church by living the Gospel after the example of Saint Francis and our foundress, Mother Maria Theresia Bonzel. We strive to combine the contemplative life with the active through perpetual adoration and the works of mercy in education, healthcare, and other ecclesial ministries. Position Summary The Full-Time Nursing Unit Secretary & Scheduler is responsible for maintaining nursing staff schedules, coordinating departmental communications, managing clerical duties, and supporting quality resident care through efficient administrative practices. This position serves as a central point of communication for the nursing department and helps ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update nursing staff schedules Serve as the nursing unit receptionist and communication liaison Answer and direct phone calls professionally and courteously Order and maintain nursing and office supplies Prepare administrative documents for healthcare providers Submit housekeeping and maintenance work orders Support nursing leadership with clerical and administrative projects Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent A genuine commitment to serving the elderly with joy, patience, and gentleness Preferred One year of clerical, administrative, scheduling, or healthcare office experience Long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or healthcare experience Previous staff scheduling experience Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and work independently Outstanding interpersonal skills Why Join Our Team?
