Job Description

Title:
Office Assistant, Part Time Job Objectives The individual in this position will be a reliable point of contact for incoming calls, visitors and other customer service responsibilities. This individual supports and assists the Assistant Director, Director and Recreation Director. The individual will act consistently with the Park Board mission statement, policies and procedures. The individual will regularly and customarily use professional judgment, discretion and integrity in all duties and contacts with the Park Board, supervisor, staff and the community. The individual will work cooperatively with all other Park Board Departments in order to create a positive work environment. Primary Job Functions
  • Assists with daily office procedures including basic clerical tasks and operating standard office equipment.
  • Inputs information, including customer registrations, quickly and accurately from a variety of sources into a computer database.
  • Handles incoming calls.
  • Maintains solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed, professionalism, and accuracy.
  • Manages the lobby area. Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors, clients, and customers.
  • Assist with daily banking responsibilities.
  • Serve as recording secretary for the Park Board during meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Handles special administrative projects, as well as overflow work as assigned.
  • May require research skills to troubleshoot customer problems.
  • Assist with programming events as directed.
  • Assist with the organization of the volunteer program.
  • Perform regular posts to social media and update the website. Critical Skills/Expertise
  • Candidate must be a high-energy, organized, self-starter.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of computers, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibits an understanding on accounting procedures.
  • Demonstrates organizational and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple requests.
  • High School diploma required, some college or college degree preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.

Assistant Director and Park Director Pay:
$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
