Mental Health Clerk Full Time (83347) IN, Pendleton - Pendleton Correctional Facility - PENDLETON, IN 46064 Apply Overview Position Type Full-Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Category Administrative & Clerical Apply Description Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services t o the Indiana Department of Correction . We are currently seeking a full -time Mental Health Clerk to join our team at Pendleton Correctional Facility located in Pendleton , Indiana. Pay Rate range is $16-$18/hour, depending on experience + full benefits The Mental Health Clerk at Facility (Medical) is responsible for performing administrative duties and supporting program and staff needs, including routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments (internally and for off-site patient appointments), organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and creating various spreadsheets and reports. This position would primarily work within the Mental Health Department.
Essential Duties:
- Working with patient consults
- Auditing consults and grievance logs/roll-up reports
- Working extensively with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year of administrative or office experience required
- Must have experience with medical terminology
- Good communication and organizational skills, professional phone etiquette, and accurate typing skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and database programs preferred
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
