Job Summary College of Science | West Lafayette, Indiana The College of Science is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to faculty, staff, and departmental programs. In this role, you will coordinate calendars, meetings, events, and travel arrangements while serving as a key point of contact for inquiries and daily operations. The successful candidate will assist with preparing reports, creating agendas and promotional materials, maintaining websites, databases, and mailing lists, and helping ensure the smooth functioning of administrative activities. This role contributes to an enthusiastic team working to support a robust and dynamic department. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who enjoys supporting others and contributing to a dynamic academic environment.What We're Looking For Education and Experience Required:
High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE) Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clerical or administrative support roleSkills Required:
Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail Computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc. Typing, drafting, filing, data entry, proofreading and editing skills Ability to: handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality identify routine problems and implement or recommend solutionsAdditional Information:
