Food Service Coordinator Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in food service management, hospitality, or related field preferred. Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in food service, including supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred). Reports To:

7.5 hrs daily/ Follows the school calendar Major Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the preparation and serving of daily meals that meet nutritional guidelines. Keep reports, records, and inventories current. Maintain records for the maximum period required by law and/or board policy. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to food service operations (e.g., USDA, school district policies). Monitor inventory levels and order food, supplies, and equipment as needed while staying within budget. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in food prep, service, and storage areas. Manage meal production records, payroll records, and other administrative duties. Coordinate with school administration to support special events and nutrition programs. Address student and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner. Implement cost control and waste reduction measures. Train new staff members, schedule substitute staff as needed, and approve staff timesheets for payroll. Use point of sale reports to prepare the bank deposits. Submit reports and deposits to the Corporation Treasurer's office. Assist in financial reporting for the school corporation Assist in Annual performance evaluations for the kitchen staff in collaboration with the Head Cook/Kitchen Supervisor. Provide constructive feedback and setting goals for professional growth and individual development. Facilitate staff meetings to review procedures, training, and school calendar. Promote a favorable image of the schools district and food service department. Build community partnership that enhances the school programs and services. Uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures Perform other such duties as directed by the Superintendent. Physical Demands:
