QUALIFICATIONS
1) High school graduate. 2) Knowledge of general office procedures. 3) Typing, computer (word processing, database, spreadsheet, Excel, etc.), general accounting, filing and record skills. 4) Ability to work with young adults. 5) Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. 6) Knowledge of basic first aid. 7) Ability to meet and work with teachers, students, parents, and visitors in a pleasant, efficient manner both in person and on the telephone.
REPORTS TO
Building Principal
JOB GOAL
To efficiently operate the school office to insure optimal services are available to staff, students, and parents.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes school and student enrollment reports, the transfer of In/Out records and student record requests. Handles the building receptionist duties including answering the telephone and greeting visitors. Maintains records of staff attendance and reports absences monthly to the District Office. Maintains an efficient filing system for all building level records and documents. Maintains an accurate recording of all activity fund receipts and expenditures and prepares a monthly report. Supervises the use of the office equipment (copy machine, fax, laminator, etc.) Prepares and maintains copies of all purchase orders and receives and approves supply deliveries and invoices. Assists teachers and students with general office assistance and first aid. Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly run office. Fulfills all other duties as requested by the building principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
School year calendar plus other days specified in contract. Salary to be determined by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the building principal in accordance with district practice.
