Job Description

Tax Administrative Assistant Location:
Lenexa, KS Position Overview Do you take pride in producing accurate, detailed, and organized work? Are you a proactive multi-tasker who communicates clearly and professionally? If so, this role may be an excellent fit for you. The Tax Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the Tax Team, ensuring efficient processing of client documentation and delivery of tax services. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Process tax organizers and distribute them to clients via mail or electronic delivery through the client portal Organize and scan original client documents provided for tax return preparation Assist with compiling internal data needed for client tax returns Print and assemble tax returns for client delivery Track and process Form 8879 (IRS e-file Signature Authorizations) Maintain projects and data in project tracking software and CRM systems Assist clients with the tax portal and electronic signing as needed Manage incoming and outgoing client correspondence Provide administrative support to the Tax Team Offer overflow and backup support to other team members as needed Qualifications & Requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks efficiently and on time Comfortable working collaboratively with all levels of staff and management Ability to work full-time (40-50 hours per week); hours may vary during tax season based on workload Self-motivated and able to work independently Positive, professional attitude Preferred Qualifications Minimum two years of experience in tax administration or a similar administrative role within a tax or accounting environment Associate degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree not required) Experience with Thomson Reuters tax products and SurePrep is helpful but not required Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Company-matched 401(k) Paid vacation and recognized market holidays About Modern Wealth Management Modern Wealth Management is a modernized financial advisory firm that uses a team-based approach to provide a full suite of responsive services to clients nationwide.
