Role:
The Program Support Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support by coordinating office operations, managing schedules, maintaining records, and handling financial administrative tasks. This role enables scientific and management staff to focus on mission-critical research activities while ensuring efficient operations and compliance with procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative support, manage incoming communications, and greet visitors. Schedule appointments, maintain executive calendars, and coordinate meeting logistics. Prepare, edit, and distribute official correspondence, reports, memos, and presentations. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, supporting workflow and document control. Prepare invoices, track expenses, and assist with basic bookkeeping and financial record maintenance. Handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and assist with special administrative projects.
Required Skills:
3+ years of administrative or program support experience. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred). High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Strong background in calendar management, meeting coordination, and document formatting. Basic bookkeeping, invoice processing, and financial record-keeping knowledge. Excellent organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Federal Government offices or research organizations. Prior experience handling confidential information within government administrative framework.

$55.00 per hour
