Essential Functions Process Public Works work order requests Responds to public inquiries relating to Public Works services; handles questions and matters of a more technical nature; responds professionally to citizen concerns Prepares accurate and error-free reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content Manages the public-facing office and assists in maintaining department materials and supplies Establishes and maintains work order and records systems Processes various billings, including property damage billing Processes purchase orders and invoices for Public Works through the City's financial software system Processes various funding reimbursements with other Governmental entities Accurately maintains department data; manuals, records, directories, bid lists, etc. Coordinates street cut and right-of-way permit processing and billing using the City's permit software Coordinates streetlight and traffic signal maintenance requests Maintains petty cash receipts and credit card journal Assists with preparation of department annual budget and gathers information as necessary Promote City values at all times Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to interact with members of the public in-person and through phone calls and emails Ability to use office equipment and word processing, financial, asset management, and spreadsheet software Ability to handle multiple tasks and interruptions Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of experience in an office management or administrative setting Qualified applicants must apply online at www.merriam.org/jobs.
