Job Description
The Data Processing Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining organizational data to support the daily operations of Appalachian Children's Home. This role ensures that records related to youth services, staff, donors, compliance, and administrative functions are complete, organized, and secure. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining confidentiality in a child welfare setting. Key Responsibilities Data Entry & Record Management Enter and update client, donor, staff, and program data into internal databases and management systems. Review source documents for accuracy and completeness prior to entry. Maintain electronic and physical filing systems in compliance with agency policies. Perform regular audits to verify data accuracy and consistency. Scan, index, and upload documents into digital record systems. Reporting & Documentation Generate routine and special reports for supervisors and program leadership. Assist with compiling data for grant reporting, licensing reviews, and audits. Track deadlines for documentation and follow up as needed to ensure timely submissions. Administrative Support Respond to internal data requests from program staff and leadership. Assist with processing forms, applications, and other organizational paperwork. Support data-related aspects of onboarding, compliance tracking, and program services. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive youth, family, and personnel information. Quality & Compliance Ensure all data handling complies with organizational policies and applicable privacy regulations. Identify discrepancies and notify supervisors of potential issues. Recommend improvements to data management processes when appropriate.
