Job Summary:
The Office Assistant is responsible for scheduling patient appointments for Primary Care Clinic. Also responsible for answering the telephones, greeting patients, obtaining insurance pre-certifications, scanning and obtaining medical records, scheduling appointments with specialists, and entering patient charges with billing information. Exhibits the

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Attention to detail. Ability to research and analyze information, develop conclusions, recommendations, and reports. Ability to use keyboard and general office equipment including telephone, fax, and scanners. Ability to use various information technology systems, including Office Practicum, Internet, Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Two (2) years of previous medical office experience required.
