Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location PO Box 69 Lagrange, KY 40031 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 14 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. The Administrative Specialist at Roederer Correctional Complex provides beginning professional level support within the Programs and Security area of the institution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provides professional support to various supervisors such as drafting, formatting, proof reading, and data tracking with confidentiality and timely completion of deadlines. Reviews incoming mail, sort, organize and distribute. Complies various reports and reviews. Maintains and scan documents in the Kentucky Offender Management System (KOMS). Schedules appointments, hearings and meetings. Maintains log and records and track office supplies. Ensures policy and procedure manuals are updated appropriately. Other duties as assigned. Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
