Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Personal Injury Claims Assistant to join our dynamic claims management team. In this vital role, you will support the processing and handling of personal injury insurance claims, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient communication, and compliance with industry regulations. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help streamline claims workflows, facilitate negotiations, and deliver exceptional service to clients and stakeholders alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in insurance claims management while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in the review and interpretation of insurance policies related to personal injury claims, including workers' compensation and health insurance policies. Manage data entry tasks within insurance claims management software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of claim records. Process medical claims by reviewing medical documentation, coding using
ICD-9/ICD
coding systems, HCPCS, and DRG classifications. Handle insurance verification procedures to confirm coverage details and policy limits for claimants. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries from claimants, healthcare providers, and internal teams. Experience Prior clerical or administrative experience in an insurance or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with commercial insurance policies, workers' compensation law, and insurance regulation is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with experience using insurance claims management software is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and customer service interactions. Pay:
