JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant for the Compassionate Care Center serves as the first point of contact for Compassionate Care Plus and the Compassionate Care Center inpatient unit, creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients, families, visitors, referral sources, and staff. This position manages a multi-line telephone system, greets visitors, coordinates administrative functions, and provides clerical support to ensure the efficient daily operation of the inpatient unit while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and customer service.RESPONSIBLE TO

Full-time, on-site, Monday - Friday 11:00am - 7:30pmEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service, administrative, medical office, or receptionist experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, hospice, or medical office setting preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and community partners.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and empathy when interacting with individuals experiencing grief or emotional stress.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Current Kentucky Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance.
