The role combines independent-living support, household assistance, transportation, and occasional social activities. Important Location Information I currently live in Gonzales and plan to relocate permanently to Canal Street in New Orleans by January 16, 2027. Until the move, scheduled shifts will take place in Gonzales, so applicants must be able to reliably commute there for an 8 p.m. start and return home after an 8 a.m. end time. Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and positioning Supporting evening and morning routines Preparing meals and breakfast Doing laundry, dishes, and light household cleaning Preparing the home for the following day Providing transportation for errands and occasional outings Assisting with my dog, Lil Bit Accompanying me to restaurants, events, nightlife, or other social activities when needed Providing respectful, professional one-on-one support Some shifts will include quiet downtime after scheduled tasks are complete. Other nights may involve conversation, laughter, errands, dining out, or social activities. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants must have: Reliable personal transportation A valid driver's license The ability to commute independently to Gonzales until the relocation Dependability and punctuality Comfort working overnight hours The ability to provide hands-on personal care professionally and respectfully Basic meal-preparation skills Comfort with light housekeeping Comfort around dogs Good judgment, discretion, and communication skills A sense of humor and a relaxed, respectful attitude Experience in personal care, caregiving, nursing assistance, or independent-living support is helpful but not required.
