Administrative Assistant Daigle Welding Supply Opelousas, LA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Multitasking Administrative experience Attention to detail Clerical experience Full Job Description Administrative Assistant Daigle Welding Supply is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, customer account activity, cylinder tracking, vendor orders, and administrative compliance needs. This position requires strong organization, professionalism, accuracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic office tasks, including filing, data entry, answering phones, processing mail, and maintaining office records.
  • Post customer payments by accurately recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain accounts receivable files and assist with related customer account documentation.
  • Contact delinquent customers regarding outstanding account balances.
  • Prepare delinquent accounts for submission to the collections agency as directed.
  • Process customer credit applications for management review and approval.
  • Create the daily deposit and transport deposits to the bank.
  • Maintain cylinder tracking records for all cylinders transported to and from designated vendors and customers.
  • Submit and receive vendor gas orders as directed by the dock supervisor.
  • Order materials and supplies needed for packaged gas service when notified by the dock supervisor.
  • Adjust customer leases and rentals according to cylinder transactions.
  • Assist with medical gas compliance documentation and related administrative requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Prior administrative, clerical, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Professional phone etiquette and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort handling customer payments, deposits, account records, and confidential information.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge in welding supplies a plus Position Details
