Job Description

Job Goals:
Efficiently managing administrative tasks, maintaining organized records, managing the budget, and facilitating effective communication between students, parents, and staff to contribute to the smooth operation of the school office.
Supervision:
Building Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Main Office:
Assists administrators with clerical support and other duties required Works collaboratively with other secretarial staff Answers the telephone, directs calls, greets members of the public, faculty, and students, covers the reception area as needed Enters student attendance records daily and maintains regular student attendance communication as required by district Communicates and corresponds with faculty, staff, parents, teachers, students, and community in a variety of formats including email, newsletters, social media, etc. Supports assistant principals in data entry and communication for disciplinary matters Maintains the assistant principals' calendars Maintains staff records, including attendance Coordinates class coverage during the school day Maintains and updates both paper and electronic files, documents, and forms Utilizes technology including our student information system, databases, and Google suite Attends meetings as needed by administrators Supports planning school events Works within the requirements of DESE and the district Maintains confidentiality Other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or their designee.
Athletics/Co-Curriculars:
Supports the AD in matters related to athletics including, but not limited to, scheduling, sports registration, departmental communication, creating and submitting POs, scheduling of transportation and officials, awards Manages facilities requests for building use in collaboration with central office Maintains files related to student-athletes and coaches Communicates with coaches, officials, transportation company, etc. Collaborates with payroll department and accounts payable/receivable Recommended Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or higher Excellent computer skills, particularly the Google Suite Excellent time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Experience with budgeting preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
