Job Description
The Town of Mashpee Planning Department welcomes applications for a full time Administrative Assistant; $30.87/hour - $32.76/hour commensurate with qualifications and experience; 40 hours/week from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have graduated from an accredited high school and have at least two years of advanced college level classes; prior experience in a clerical office setting and experience performing like or similar work in dealing with the public; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; strong communication experience in work history, with preference in a municipal setting; experience with MUNIS financial software strongly preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a valid MA driver's license (Class D). Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.Responsibilities:
Provides administrative, research and clerical support to the Planning Department; assists in administering operational functions; assures that matters are processed in a timely manner and according to any applicable notice, due process or other legal requirements; maintains calendars and reminder notifications of recurring items; prepares meeting agendas with backup documents; produces correspondence and reports; provides secretarial support to other professional staff and/or associated board/committee members; ensures the web pages of the Planning Department and the Historic District Commission are updated; assists with other responsibilities of the office. May assist other Town Departments with general clerical tasks as needed and as available.
