Job Description

Project Administrator Boston Conveyor and Automation (BCA) - part of the Mpac Group Newburyport, Massachusetts Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Project Administrator to support the successful delivery of complex automation projects. This role reports to the Senior Project Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring projects are well-governed, on track, and delivered with excellence. The Role As a Project Administrator, you will provide structured coordination and administrative support across multiple automation and capital equipment projects. You'll work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Project Management, helping to ensure projects move smoothly from order intake through installation and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technical environment and wants to grow their career within an expanding organization. Key Accountabilities Project Planning & Administration Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and milestones Maintain accurate project documentation including scope, risk registers, and change logs Track deliverables and deadlines to ensure timelines are met Coordinate internal meetings and follow up on actions Financial & Commercial Support Assist with tracking project budgets, purchase orders, and cost commitments Support preparation of financial reports and forecasts Ensure accurate record-keeping to support invoicing and revenue recognition Risk & Change Control Maintain project risk registers and action trackers Support formal change management by ensuring variations are documented and approved Cross-Functional Coordination Act as a liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Project Management Support gate documentation, material tracking, and build/install readiness Ensure smooth handovers between project phases and departments Reporting & Governance Prepare regular project status reports and KPI dashboards Maintain controlled documentation in line with company standards Support audit readiness and compliance requirements What You'll Bring Degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (desirable) Proven experience in project coordination, project administration, or engineering support Understanding of the full project lifecycle Experience supporting project financial tracking and reporting Familiarity with structured project governance processes Proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office, and project documentation tools Ability to interpret technical documentation at a working level Why Join BCA?
