Job Description

Sr. Credentialing Coordinator (Department of Dermatology) Johns Hopkins University United States, Maryland, Baltimore Jun 03, 2026 We are seeking a Sr. Credentialing Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination of credentialing and medical staff appointment activities for faculty, fellows, medical staff, and others in the department. Provides administrative support for department administration and medical education programs. Serves as a resource and liaison between contacts in the department and across Johns Hopkins Medicine. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Initiates, processes and manages the credentialing process of faculty, medical staff, residents, and fellows. Accurately enters and edits data in the credentialing and privileging system. Ensures deadlines throughout the credentialing and privileging process are met. Prepare materials and files for presentation and review by the Credentialing Committees. Implement and maintain departmental policies and procedures related to executing the credentialing processes in accordance with JHU School of Medicine and JHM policies, government regulations and Joint Commission guidelines. Create and run related reports for Divisional Administrator, SOM administration, Divisional Directors, Clinical Directors and Fellowship Directors. Create and run reports on compliance renewals and required training. Educate and inform faculty, learners, and divisional personnel about credentialing policies and procedures. Oversee the reappointment for faculty, fellows, and trainees. Serve as a liaison between the division, department, the postdoc office, SOM Registrar, SOM Deans Office, JHU Office of International Services, and other stakeholders. May oversee and serve as resource for Credentialing Coordinator other staff supporting the credentialing process. Assessing organizations against established accreditation standards or industry-specific regulations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or graduation equivalent. Five years of related experience. Experience with the credentialing process in an academic medicine or comparable environment. Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
