Job Description
Job Summary:
PsychNP Wellness Center is a mental health practice located in Towson, Maryland, seeking a reliable and organized Office Staff/Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our practice. Office staff members share responsibility for variety of administrative tasks, including:Responsibilities:
Answering and managing incoming phone calls. Scheduling and confirming patients appointments. Ensuring all required patient intake paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits. Reviewing insurance provider portal to determine patient responsibility, including copays, deductibles, and other applicable costs. Coordinating with other office staff members and mental health providers to ensure efficient patient care and smooth office operations. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information and administrative records. Receive, send and manage patient medical files and records in accordance with with office procedures. Communicating with healthcare providers through secure messaging systems and health portals. Respond to emails and manage administrative communication using Google Workspace/Google Suite. Maintain an organized, clean and professional office environment. Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the practice.Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional and compassionate communication skills. Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately. Comfortable using computers, emails, Google Workspace, and online insurance/provider portals. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy office environment. Previous experience in a medical, mental health, healthcare, or administrative office is preferred. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.Ideal Candidate:
