Job Description
ABC 7 and FOX 22 News Team has an immediate opening for a Newsroom Administrative Assistant. We're looking for an energetic person with strong writing skills who can help manage the daily operations of the News Department. The successful candidate will help answer incoming calls and set up reports. This person will be the contact for the website, assist the public with school and business cancellations and post news stories to the web. They will also help with social media, help with staff scheduling, assist with election coverage and other duties as assigned. The right person will also be trained to use a camera to cover certain stories in the field, but that isn't a requirement. This is a chance to take on an important role in our operation. It's perfect for someone with a background in office skills, social media or someone hoping for a start in the news business. Bangor is a great place to live and work. There is an amazing concert venue, festivals all summer, and so many things to do in every season. It's not far from Acadia National Park and Katahdin. People from all over the world come here to enjoy the area. There is a reason it's called "Vacation Land."
