Job Description

Job Overview AJ Hodes CPAs is seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our accounting and tax team in Bath, Maine. We are looking for a person to serve as the first point of contact for clients in our Bath office, assist with administrative tasks, and help ensure the efficient daily operation of the office. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails. Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Process, scan, copy, and organize tax and accounting documents. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Process Tax Returns Schedule appointments and manage calendars for accountants and staff. Maintain electronic and physical client files. Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed. Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment processing. Update client information within firm software and databases. Support special projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Previous administrative, receptionist, or office support experience preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. . Preferred Experience Experience working in a tax, accounting, financial services, or professional office environment. Familiarity with document management systems and client relationship management (CRM) software. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
