Job Description

Position Title:
Residential Living Services (RLS)
Coordinator Position Summary:
RLS Coordinator will ensure residential settings such as Adult Foster Care homes (AFC) and Homes for the Aged (HFA) are in compliance with federal and state rules. This role will also negotiate rates for MI Choice Waiver RLS participant placement. Recruit and credential new and existing residential settings providers, in addition to auditing, training, and monitoring continued compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Provider Relations Manager and Chief Clinical Officer to negotiate rates with service providers for participants who wish to move to an AFC or HFA Conduct annual Home and Community Based Settings (HCBS) surveys for all applicable service providers annually Works with Provider Relations Manager for all AFC and HFA provider audits and credentialing Works with Provider Relations Manager to develop two provider trainings annually that include training and resources to assist providers in maintaining compliance and improving quality Stays informed on Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) standards and contract requirements, assists in updating policies and procedures as needed for agency compliance Locates new residential settings providers and completes the recruitment and credentialing process Provides Vendor View (secure messaging system integrated with participant record system) and ensures accuracy of archiving service reports Works collaboratively with residential settings providers to ensure compliance with contract requirements including current contract paperwork, liability insurance, emergency plans, new provider orientation, and background checks Responsible for training support staff regarding AFC and HFA housing regulations. Keeps management informed of provider network issues and outcomes. Supports achievement of Agency mission, vision, and reflects its values in work behavior. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in social services, administrative services preferred. Minium of one year of related experience in social services, healthcare, or non-profit setting is required.
Required Skills:
Possess the interpersonal skills and professionalism needed to effectively engage with co-workers, the public and assist providers. Flexible and adaptable in various situations and when interacting with many different personalities. Detailed-oriented and excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software. Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and work independently to solve them. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidential information.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Must be able to travel to offsite assignments.
