Job Description

The Visitor and Services Secretary serves as the primary point of contact and security ambassador for the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional and secure environment by managing the entry of all visitors through the secured vestibule, providing essential clerical support to staff, and performing general office duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Security & Visitor Management Primary Gatekeeper:
Monitor and manage the secured vestibule, greeting all visitors promptly and professionally.
Entry Verification:
Ensure all individuals entering the facility have a legitimate business purpose; verify appointments or direct walk-ins as appropriate.
Visitor Credentials:
Administer the visitor management system, ensuring every guest is properly identified and issued a visitor's badge before being granted access to the main building.
Safety Compliance:
Maintain an accurate log of building entries and exits to support district safety protocols.
Clerical & Administrative Support Document Services:
Efficiently operate office machinery to copy and laminate instructional or administrative materials for district staff.
General Clerical:
Perform routine office tasks including data entry, filing, and sorting. Will also sort and distribute mail.
Communication:
Direct incoming phone calls and provide general information regarding district programs and activities.
