Job Description

Copper Country Community Mental Health Services seeks a full-time Secretary to join their Outpatient team in Houghton, Michigan. If you're organized, comfortable working with people, and enjoy keeping a busy office running smoothly, this could be a great opportunity to put your administrative skills to work while supporting an organization that serves communities throughout the Copper Country.
WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE.
Provide telephone and office receptionist duties. Welcome and assist visitors. Schedule appointments and help keep office activities organized. Collect and enter information, and maintain accurate records. Enter data into an electronic medical records system. Prepare documents, reports, correspondence, and other office materials using computer software. Perform general office tasks such as typing, copying, filing, and distributing mail. Provide office coverage in other departments or offices when needed.
WHAT WE OFFER.
$16.32 - $24.01 per hour based on experience. Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Retirement and deferred compensation plans. Paid time off. Full-time Monday - Friday position generally working 8am - 5pm.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. 18
years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 6 months' professional office experience required. Experience working with electronic medical records preferred. Familiarity with medical office procedures and medical terminology is a plus. Strong typing and computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. A pleasant personality that is helpful and able to communicate with a variety of people by phone, email, and in-person. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, remain organized, and meet deadlines.
