Intern Farm Bureau Center Overview Michigan Farm Bureau's Promotion & Education and Young Farmer Departments are seeking a reliable, creative, and motivated school-year intern. This intern may assist in developing and implementing resources that help students learn about agriculture, increase consumer awareness, and grow Young Farmers' leadership skills. There are also opportunities to work with event planning and shadow other departments. Interns will receive hands-on training and support from their managers and company mentors. Managers work with interns to identify and develop personal goals and improve their own desired skills. •
NOTE:
both in and out of office work might be required at the Farm Bureau Center/Warehouse in Lansing, MI. This internship will start the end of August/beginning of September and continue until May. Hours are flexible around class schedule. • Responsibilities Interns support the day-to-day operations of their departments, which may include but are not limited to writing articles on programming or members, developing new programmatic resources, graphic design/document layout, working on outreach programs, and assisting with curriculum updates, social media, events, and data entry.
Qualifications Essential Skills:
Writing Interpersonal communication, both virtual and in-person Organization and ability to multitask Interest or experience in event planning and coordination Familiarity with software such as Monday.com, Outlook, Word, Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, and social media platforms
Preferred Skills:
