Position:
Part-time Monday-Friday 7 hours per day
Salary:
$ 39,375.00 annually
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, employers, visitors, and partners by providing professional, courteous, and welcoming customer service.
  • Provide front desk coverage, answer and direct incoming telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments in accordance with Job Center procedures.
  • Provide information regarding Job Center services, workforce programs, workshops, hiring events, and community resources.
  • Assist customers with Wagner-Peyser registration, enrollment activities, and workforce system navigation.
  • Conduct customer intake activities, collect required documentation, and maintain accurate customer records in workforce management systems.
  • Assist customers with job search activities, labor market information, career services, and utilization of Job Center resources.
  • Assess customer needs and facilitate referrals to workforce programs, partner agencies, and community resources to ensure access to appropriate services.
  • Coordinate with Job Center team members and partners to support timely service delivery and positive customer outcomes.
  • Document customer interactions, referrals, and activities in accordance with program requirements and established procedures.
  • Provide basic assistance to customers regarding unemployment insurance processes, online systems, and available resources, referring specialized issues to appropriate state staff.
  • Assist customers with identity verification requirements, including gathering, uploading, and processing required documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support Job Center operations through data entry, filing, scanning, document management, and other administrative functions.
  • Assist with workshops, orientations, hiring events, outreach activities, and special projects as assigned.
  • Monitor resource room operations and assist customers with computers, printers, and other office technology.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Job Center team members and partners to support effective customer flow, service delivery, and achievement of workforce system goals.
