This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Security Unit. OA-FMDC is committed to strengthening the State's investments while providing a safe and secure environment through innovative design solutions and excellent customer service. Responsibilities - What you'll do Prioritize excellent customer service for a wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, vendors/contractors, and the public. Report directly to the OA-FMDC Security & Badge Office Administrator to provide direct support and execute a variety of clerical, administrative, and office-related tasks. Operate within established guidelines, exercise sound judgement, and maintain confidentiality while processing applications and requests relating to State ID badges. Serve as the liaison for a variety of support related functions focused on excellent customer service including but not limited to answering general inquiries, maintaining and providing contact information and resources, and troubleshooting assistance. Operate under general supervision to carry out assigned responsibilities independently within established guidelines and procedures. Occasionally travel to other facilities to facilitate training; deliver material to facilities and customers; provide assistance to team members, customers, and vendors; and program and print State ID badges. Prioritize and execute a variety of clerical, administrative, and office-related tasks, such as creating and maintaining reports, filing systems, and records; obtaining quotes and entering information into Missouri Buys; maintaining supplies; arranging accommodations; and drafting communications for the Security Unit. Provide coverage after hours and/or for emergency purposes to ensure clerical, administrative, security, safety, and other related tasks are properly addressed for team members and the public to conduct state business. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications - All you need for success Ability to communicate, collaborate, and operate with integrity in a manner that inspires trust and builds positive rapport with a diverse group of stakeholders and the public. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and customer service skills. Excellent time management, organizational, and planning capabilities in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to prioritize and execute work independently with minimal supervision with a high level of discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information. Computer software knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Six (6) months or more years of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. (Substitutions may be allowed.) Excellent attendance, work ethic, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills. Prior experience with security systems and/or badge issuance systems such as P2000, Gallagher, Sonitrol, etc. is preferred Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay. Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
