Job Summary:
Pattonville School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Administrative Assistant II to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support, foster a welcoming and inclusive school environment, and contribute to the overall success of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the principal, including managing correspondence, filing, scheduling, and document preparation. Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, staff, and students; offer assistance or direct inquiries appropriately. Prepare, compose, and format a variety of documents and reports, including confidential materials. Answer and screen phone calls; relay messages or route to appropriate personnel. Maintain manual and electronic filing systems for records such as attendance, payroll, and purchase orders. Manage the principal's calendar, coordinate meetings, and record minutes. Sort and distribute mail; handle and deposit collected school funds. Support budget monitoring and assist with purchasing processes. Reconcile bank statements and internal ledgers on a regular basis. Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the building principal and appropriate district personnel Assist in o versee ing staff time-c lock system to ensure accurate reporting of hours, overtime, and leaves of absence. Authorize and issue Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring compliance with district spending limits. Verify receipt of goods and services to initiate timely payments Remain knowledgeable about school policies, procedures, and district contacts. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with staff, students, families, and the public. Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and internal operations; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Proficient in modern office software and technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and scheduling tools.
Travel Requirements:

Schedule:
Monday-Friday eight hours per day; in person.
Pay Structure:
