SUMMARY:
Serves as secretary to the principal and as the facilitator for the school/public being served in communicating information, problem-solving, material acquisition, cash handling, and record keeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs non-routine and highly skilled secretarial work for building administrators.
- Reviews a variety of materials, including reports, newsletters, and memos for content and recommended changes. Answers phones and gives information to callers take messages or transfer calls.
- Responsible for processing purchase orders and employee time records. Handles requests for general information, complaints, and inquiries regarding district policies and procedures.
Accurately prepares state and district reports from raw data, which includes generating charts and graphs on the computer. Can prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines and take direction. Can produce accurate work with frequent interruptions. Schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences for the Principal as requested. Order, receive, store, and maintain office supplies. Enroll students Set up and maintain electronic filing systems for records, correspondence and other material.
Assures coordination of both verbal and written information to building employees. Orientates substitute teachers.
Greets visitors.
Orders materials and supplies for staff as needed.
Assists with updating information on social media.
Attends Open House.
Orders, processes, and maintains office materials and equipment.
Serves as confidential secretary to administration.
Is familiar with Google, SIS and Windows programs.
Takes in-service training as needed.
Registers new students and acquires transfer paperwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.
