Job Description
Job Summary - Why you'll love this position The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be located in the Howell County Child Support Office based at 3417 Division Drive, West Plains, MO.
Responsibilities - What you'll do As a Benefit Program Technician, you will serve Missouri citizens by assessing their child support needs during phone calls, in-person office visits and online inquiries. You may assist and guide them through services such as verifying paternity, establishing child support orders and enforcing and/or modifying both administrative and judicial orders. We offer a six-month in-depth training program for all new employees with additional training as needed. This position has a consistent and structured work schedule while still allowing work/home life balance. This is a rewarding position with the opportunity to positively impact the lives of Missouri citizens and their families.
Qualifications - All you need for success To succeed in this role, you must have a high school diploma and at least four years of customer services experience OR a bachelor's degree. To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive. The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills, proficient typing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail, and has experience working with several different computer programs simultaneously. Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. I ndividual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
