Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Front Office Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, EMR systems, and strong communication skills to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using dental software such as Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle billing and collections using medical billing systems Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental scheduling software and multi-line phone systems Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and explaining treatment plans Process payments, co-pays, and perform medical collection activities as needed Manage correspondence, including phone etiquette, filing, and data entry with proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills Support office management tasks such as filing medical records, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring a clean front desk environment Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation review and adherence to coding standards like
CPT, ICD-9/10
for billing purposes Qualifications Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred; clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and health information management Familiarity with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other insurance providers Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key typing), and familiarity with office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and bilingual abilities are a plus Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Previous experience in a healthcare or dental front desk role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Join our team to provide outstanding administrative support in a professional dental environment dedicated to patient care excellence.
