Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Church Secretary. As the first point of contact for our church, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist visitors, members, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person
  • Manage the church calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
  • Keep all church bank accounts up to date and reconciled using Quickbooks.
  • Payment of all church financials obligations and coordination with local CPA firms.
  • Maintain accurate records of membership information, contributions, and other important and confidential data
  • Assist with the preparation of church bulletins, newsletters, and other communications
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Coordinate facility maintenance requests and repairs Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative or front desk role is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge in Quickbooks Online is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
  • Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor This is a part-time position Monday
  • Thursday.
