EVERGREEN FIRE RESCUE
Office Assistant Job Description The Evergreen Fire District is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our team. This vital role will support fire administration operations, ensuring the smooth daily functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of administrative experience, strong computer proficiency, and a working knowledge of fire department procedures. Key Responsibilities Support fire administration staff with various tasks and projects throughout the day. Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence. Create, edit, and organize documents using Microsoft Word and other Office Suite software. Maintain and update spreadsheets and data records in Microsoft Excel. Assist in scheduling, filing, and data entry for training sessions, meetings, and events. Coordinate office supplies, equipment maintenance, and inventory for the fire department. Prepare reports, memos, and other documentation as required by fire administration. Help manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Interface with members of the public and staff, providing information and assistance as needed. Support the implementation of office policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred. Proven experience in office administration or a similar administrative role. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer operations; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite is essential. Basic understanding of fire department functions, terminology, or willingness to learn. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor when dealing with confidential or sensitive information. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Additional Information This is a full-time, on-site position at the Evergreen Fire District office. Some flexibility in hours may be required to support special events or meetings. $1,200/month healthcare benefit & up to 10% employee/14% employer contribution into 457b retirement account.
