Your Role The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as Kuehne & Nagels primary point of contact for customers. This role is responsible for receiving and processing orders, conducting necessary follow-up communication, and ensuring accurate, timely, and complete responses to both internal and external distribution centers. The CSR facilitates communication across departments and must consistently demonstrate professional and courteous phone etiquette. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver quantifiable results. Your Responsibilities Process customer orders received via mail, fax, email, EDI, or phone. Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data prior to entry. Review records such as bills, computer printouts, bills of lading, and related documents; communicate unit prices, shipping dates, delays, and other required information to customers. Enter orders into the automated system and compute total costs; maintain records or file order copies as requested. Coordinate with warehouse staff and carriers to trace or expedite delayed or missing shipments. Compile statistics and prepare reports for management. Investigate overdue, damaged, or short shipments with customers and/or carriers. Address customer billing or service complaints; route service issues to appropriate departments and provide timely updates. Provide back-up support for accounts outside of primary responsibility. Your Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years of customer service experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in the Transportation industry Experience with WMS systems; AS400 or similar systems preferred. Proficient data entry skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Excellent follow-through and customer service focus. Effective problem-solving abilities.
